Resources is pleased to offer limited training subsidy funds to support employee professional development within children’s community support agencies within Durham Region. These funds are intended to enhance knowledge and build capacity in the area of children’s mental health  and interventions.

Eligibility and Guidelines

  • Training must focus on mental health needs for children/youth.
  • Funds must be used during the fiscal year and cannot be carried past March 31 of the fiscal year in which it was awarded.
  • Agencies must demonstrate the relevance of the training to their current services or how it will build capacity within their organization and/or the broader community.
  • Typical subsidy limits:
    • Up to $750 per individual
    • Up to $1,750 per agency
    • Larger amounts may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on demand and availability.

Application Process

  • Applications must be approved by a senior manager within the applying agency before submission.
  • Completed forms (available for download below) must be sent to Shona Casola at scasola@rfecydurham.com.
  • If approved, upon registration, a confirmation from the training agency must also be forwarded to Resources.

Resources reserves the right to review all applications and allocate funds at its discretion. Funding may be adjusted based on volume and alignment with program priorities.
